Overnight Pedestrian Detours on Fairfax Campus

Posted: June 25, 2019 at 12:44 pm

The sidewalk between the fencing on Wilkins Plaza and the Robinson A construction site will be closed overnight from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. on each of the following dates to accommodate work related to the Core Campus Project:

  • June 25–27
  • July 1–2
  • July 9–11
  • July 15–17 (tentative)

Detour signs will be posted during the closures. To travel north/south through campus, pedestrians should use Aquia Creek Lane or Chesapeake Lane. To travel east/west across campus, pedestrians should use the sidewalk from SUB I to Fenwick Library, or the sidewalk between the Johnson Center and the Hub, just south of David King Hall.
